The foundation is a heavy-duty steel base that offers solid support and long-lasting durability. On top of that, a second layer of steel adds extra strength, while Clopay’s exclusive Intellicore® polyurethane insulation—2" thick—is sandwiched in between. This insulation delivers excellent thermal efficiency with an R-value of 18.4, helping keep your garage comfortable and quiet.

The exterior features a moisture-resistant composite overlay, molded from real wood pieces to mimic the look and grain of genuine wood. Unlike real wood, the composite won’t warp, crack, or rot, even in tough weather conditions.

The hot-dipped galvanized steel is finished with a durable, baked-on primer and topcoat to guard against rust and fading. For safety, every door includes pinch-resistant sections and strong safety brackets as standard features.
